What your day could look like

As a Clinical Midwife, you'll play an key role in delivering protected, person-centred maternity care while supporting positive experiences for women, babies and families. From coordinating complex care to guiding colleagues and strengthening clinical practice, you'll help create a service that delivers quality outcomes and lasting community impact.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

- Leading and coordinating care for women and families, ensuring safe, evidence-based outcomes across the maternity journey.
- Providing clinical guidance, mentoring and support to midwives and students, helping build capability and confidence within the team.
- Partnering with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver responsive, respectful and high-quality maternity services.
- Driving quality improvement, innovation and clinical governance activities that enhance safety and patient experiences.

Let's talk about you! You're an experienced midwife who combines clinical expertise with compassion, integrity and sound judgement. You thrive in situations that require critical thinking, leadership and collaboration, and take pride in helping women and families feel supported, informed and empowered during significant life moments. You're motivated by making a genuine difference, strengthening team capability and delivering care that reflects dignity, respect and excellence.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

- Current registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Advanced clinical midwifery skills with experience managing complex care situations.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and collaborative decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership, mentorship and support quality improvement initiatives.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate qualifications relevant to maternity care and/or experience working across regional or rural health settings. Most importantly,



you'll bring courage, compassion and a commitment to delivering outstanding maternity care that supports healthier futures for women, babies and families.
