About the role The Clinical Nurse – Loans Set Coordinator provides expert perioperative nursing leadership and specialist knowledge in coordinating and booking loan instrument sets, implantable medical devices, prosthetic implants and surgical equipment required for elective surgical procedures. Based within the Central Sterilising Department at Redcliffe Hospital, the role supports the safe and efficient delivery of surgical services through effective planning, coordination and quality assurance processes.

The successful candidate will apply advanced clinical and perioperative expertise, particularly within the orthopaedic specialty, while coordinating loan instrumentation requirements across surgical services. The role also provides support and direction to nursing and non-nursing staff, contributes to quality improvement initiatives, delivers education and training, and assists with maintaining compliance with contemporary sterilisation and perioperative standards.

- Apply advanced clinical and perioperative nursing expertise to support safe, evidence-based patient care and surgical outcomes.
- Provide clinical support,



education and direction to nursing and non-registered staff in complex perioperative situations.
- Lead quality assurance, monitoring and training activities within the Central Sterilising Department.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support compliance with sterilisation standards and operational excellence.
