Behind Brisbane Airport's thriving commercial precinct is a Facilities Management team responsible for delivering exceptional facilities services, contractor performance and tenant outcomes across a diverse property portfolio.

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Facilities Coordinator to play a key role in managing facilities operations across one of Queensland's most unique and evolving property portfolios. While titled Facilities Coordinator internally, this opportunity offers the scope, responsibility and remuneration typically associated with a Facilities Supervisor or Assistant Facilities Manager-level role.

About the role

Reporting to the Team Leader Building Services, the Commercial Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the efficient management of facilities across Brisbane Airport's commercial property portfolio, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with operational, technical and compliance requirements. This is a highly visible role requiring strong contractor management, service delivery leadership and stakeholder engagement. You'll work closely with commercial and retail tenants, internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure facilities services are delivered effectively, issues are resolved proactively, and contractual and operational expectations are consistently met.

Key responsibilities include:

- Coordinating preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance across commercial building assets.
- Managing facilities service contracts and contractor performance to ensure service standards,



KPIs and operational requirements are achieved.
- Investigating facilities issues, resolving service delivery challenges and driving remediation activities to achieve positive tenant and operational outcomes.
- Supporting the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire, access control and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Undertaking inspections and asset condition assessments across buildings, plant rooms, leased premises and operational areas.
- Building strong working relationships with commercial and retail tenants, supporting effective service delivery and positive customer experiences.
- Contributing to budgeting, lifecycle planning, capital improvement initiatives and long-term asset performance.
- Supporting lease obligations through the interpretation and application of tenant and landlord responsibilities where required.

About you

You like to be part of a happy, high-performing team and take pride in making a difference through doing great work. You are an experienced facilities professional with a strong background managing contractor-delivered services, complex assets and stakeholder relationships within a commercial property, facilities management or operational environment. You are comfortable holding service providers accountable, influencing outcomes and balancing operational priorities with customer expectations.

You enjoy solving problems, building strong relationships and taking ownership of outcomes, while maintaining a focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will bring

- Experience managing contractor-delivered facilities services within a complex asset environment.
- Strong contractor management, service delivery and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Technical knowledge of building services including HVAC, electrical, hydraulic, fire and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience using CMMS platforms such as Maximo or similar.
- A proactive approach to safety, compliance, continuous improvement and innovation.

Highly regarded:
- Qualifications in Facilities, Property or Asset Management.




- Experience interpreting commercial or retail lease obligations.
- Experience managing facilities within commercial property portfolios, retail centres, airports, hospitals, universities or other high public-access environments.
- Exposure to budgeting, lifecycle planning, capital works and asset improvement initiatives.
