We are a boutique law firm seeking a Senior Lawyer to join our team on a casual basis providing support on an ad-hoc basis across Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation and Employment Law matters.

This is a flexible opportunity suited to an experienced lawyer who can assist the firm on a variety of matters as well as business development for a growing private law firm.

This flexible role suits an experienced legal practitioner with at least 5 years’ post-admission experience (PQE) who can manage legal work with a high degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities

- Advise on commercial contracts, transactions and general commercial matters.
- Manage and advise on commercial disputes, debt recovery and settlement documents.
- Manage and advise on building and property disputes.
- Advise on employment contracts, policies and workplace issues.
- Conduct legal research, negotiations and client conferences.
- Contribute to business-development activities and practice-management processes;
- Assist with training and mentoring;
- Manage your own files, deadlines, budgets and client communications.

About you

You will have

- Admission as an Australian lawyer and a current practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one in Victoria.




- At least 5 years’ PQE.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial law, commercial litigation and employment law.
- Strong drafting, advisory, negotiation and matter-management skills.
- Sound commercial judgement and the ability to work independently.
- High professional and ethical standards.
