Role Description The Commercial Finance Analyst M&A; role is a full-time hybrid position based in Brisbane, QLD, with flexibility for some work from home. This role focuses on supporting mergers and acquisitions, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence for potential transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing commercial business cases, analyzing financial performance, assessing risks and opportunities, and developing forecasts and scenario analyses to inform decision-making.

The analyst will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, contribute to integration planning, and provide explicit financial insights and recommendations to leadership.



The role also involves preparing reports and presentations, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting continuous improvement in financial processes and tools.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Commercial Finance and Finance skills, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.

- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and the ability to interpret complex financial information.

- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

- Candidates should possess knowledge of financial planning and M&A; processes, including valuation, due diligence, and post-deal integration support.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA) are advantageous.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial reporting and BI tools;

experience in the education or services sector is beneficial.

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail.
