Commercial Manager | Major Infrastructure Projects | NSW

Unify Recruitment are excited to be partnering exclusively on an assignment for an experienced Commercial Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Recent South Wales.

Working as part of the senior project leadership team, you will take ownership of commercial and contractual performance across a complex infrastructure project, providing leadership across contract administration, change management, claims, procurement, forecasting and commercial risk.

We are particularly interested in candidates with strong NEC contract experience, ideally gained within major transport or civil infrastructure environments. Previous experience delivering projects for Transport for NSW (TfNSW) would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the commercial and contractual management of a major infrastructure project
- Manage NEC contract obligations, commercial risk, change and contractual correspondence
- Lead variations, compensation events, claims and entitlement assessments
- Oversee project forecasting, cost reporting, cash flow and commercial performance
- Manage subcontract procurement, administration, negotiations and final accounts




- Provide commercial advice to the Project Director and wider project leadership team
- Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks throughout project delivery
- Lead and mentor a project-based commercial and contracts team
- Maintain strong relationships with the client, subcontractors and key project stakeholders
- Ensure robust commercial governance, reporting and contractual compliance

About You

- Significant experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager within major civil or transport infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience managing complex head contracts and major subcontract packages
- Strong capability across variations, claims, change management and contractual negotiations
- Experience leading and developing commercial teams
- Strong commercial reporting, forecasting and risk management capability
- Previous TfNSW project experience highly desirable
- Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractor experience preferred
