RHEL System Engineers (Multiple Positions) n

As a result of a secured engagement with one of our National Security industry partners, Helix requires the interest of multiple RHEL Engineers to join this top tier defence industry client.

n

We're looking for RHEL Engineers withproven Openshift skills and experience solving complex problems, who thrive working as part of a team to push boundaries and are passionate about leveraging technology to produce world-class outcomes for critical defence and national security customers.

n

*NV2 clearance is a minimum requirement for this workplace.

n

RHEL Automation Engineer essential experience & capability:

n

n
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) - strong hands-on experience building, administering, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting RHEL environments.
n
- OpenShift - practical experience deploying, managing and troubleshooting Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments, including pods, projects, routes, operators and cluster services.
n
- VMware - strong experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi and vCenter , including virtual machine deployment, configuration, performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
n
- Cisco Networking - solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing , VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
n
- Linux Administration - experience with system hardening, patching, package management, storage, filesystems, user/access management and performance troubleshooting.
n
- Scripting/Automation - experience with Ansible, Bash and/or Python for automation and configuration management.
n
- Networking & Security - understanding of network segmentation, load balancing, certificates,



authentication and security controls within Linux and OpenShift environments.
n
- Container Technologies - experience with Docker/Podman, Kubernetes and containerised applications .
n
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting - ability to diagnose complex issues across the Linux, virtualisation, networking and OpenShift stack.
n
- Enterprise Infrastructure - experience supporting highly available, production enterprise environments and working within formal ITIL/Change/Incident Management processes.
n
- Experience working within a DevSecOps environment
n
- Experience mentoring jnr engineers
