About Home Team Hospitality Group

Home Team Hospitality Group is a growing hospitality group based in Brisbane City, Eagle Street, and has been established in Brisbane for several years.

We are now expanding with the opening of our third and fourth venues, LuLóu and SweetLeaf, and are looking for 2 Commis Chef to join our growing kitchen team.

LuLóu will be an all-day, fully à la carte café offering breakfast, lunch and tapas.

SweetLeaf will operate through an online ordering app, offering fresh and healthy food including salads, bowls, bento boxes and other convenient meals.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a developing chef looking to build their skills, gain practical experience and grow within a professional kitchen workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist senior chefs with food preparation and service
- Complete mise en place and general kitchen preparation
- Prepare and cook menu items under the direction of senior chefs
- Learn and maintain venue recipes, presentation and portion standards
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation
- Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures




- Assist with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen organisation
- Work as part of the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Continue developing culinary skills alongside experienced chefs

About You

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or currently completing the qualification
- Genuine passion for hospitality and food
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
