Commissioning Manager - Solar & BESS About the role

This is a delivery and coordination role, not a hands-on technical position. You will own the R2 commissioning program across solar PV and BESS assets on the east coast, driving timelines, managing stakeholders and keeping projects on schedule through to energisation.

About the company

A well-capitalised international developer with a growing renewables pipeline in Australia, spanning solar, wind and storage from early development through to operations

Key responsibilities

- Own and drive R2 commissioning timelines across multiple solar and BESS projects
- Coordinate EPC, OEM and internal engineering teams to keep commissioning on track
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with AEMO and NSPs through hold points and energisation
- Report progress, risks and schedule impacts to project leadership




- Identify and resolve delivery risks before they impact timelines

What we're looking for

- Engineering background essential, ideally electrical or power systems
- Experience coordinating commissioning or delivery on utility-scale renewable projects
- Comfortable driving timelines and holding contractors accountable, rather than executing testing yourself
- Solid stakeholder management across EPC, OEM and network parties
- East coast based, with travel to site as required
