About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated Community Manager to join our team in Coolum.

As Community Manager, you’ll be a familiar and approachable presence within the village, building genuine relationships with residents and their families and helping create a community where people feel supported, included and at home.

You will lead resident engagement, community development, communication and customer experience while supporting effective village operations and compliance. Working closely with teams across Sundale, you will help deliver a coordinated, person-centred experience throughout each resident’s journey.

You’ll be there for the important moments, whether that is welcoming someone into their new home, supporting a resident-led initiative, resolving a concern or helping a resident and their family navigate the next stage of their journey.

What You’ll Do

- Act as the primary point of contact for residents and their families,



building trusted relationships through regular engagement and visibility within the village

- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages residents to connect, participate and contribute to village life

- Coordinate community activities, resident events, wellbeing initiatives and engagement programs

- Support recent residents through their orientation and transition into the community

- Manage resident enquiries, concerns and complaints professionally and promptly

- Coordinate resident meetings and support village committees

- Oversee newsletters, notices and other resident communications

- Work collaboratively with key internal teams to identify changing resident needs and facilitate appropriate referrals

- Support residents and families through significant transitions, including accessing additional services or moving into residential aged care

- Support prospective resident enquiries, village tours, resident entry and exit processes and occupancy outcomes

- Build relationships with local community groups, volunteers and service providers

- Maintain accurate village records and support compliance, audits, emergency planning and risk management activities

- Assist with budget planning and monitoring for community activities

- Contribute to village improvement initiatives, continuous improvement and organisational projects

Required Qualifications or Certificates

- A minimum of five years’ experience in retirement village management or a comparable leadership role

- Experience within retirement living, aged care, community development, hospitality, customer service or property management

- Sound knowledge of the Retirement Villages Act, associated legislation, retirement living guidelines and relevant statutory requirements

- Solid stakeholder engagement, relationship management, communication and conflict resolution skills

- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and multiple stakeholders within a complex service environment

- Strong organisational, administrative and recordkeeping skills





- Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining vibrant, connected communities

- Ability to obtain a National Police Check

- Willing to complete a Pre-employment medical assessment

- Current Driver’s Licence

- Not-for-profit sector experience will be highly regarded
