At A1 Community Care Providers (A1CCP), we support people to live with greater independence, choice and connection within their homes and communities.

We provide personalised support to people living with disability and older Australians, and we're looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic Community Support Workers to join our growing team across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland and the Hunter.

Whether you're supporting someone to get out into the community, assisting with daily living, providing personal care, your work can make a meaningful difference to someone's day.

About the Role

No two people are the same, and no two days in community care are exactly alike.

Depending on the individual you're supporting, your role may include:

- Supporting people with daily living and personal care

- Assisting people to remain independent in their own homes

- Community access, appointments, shopping and social activities

- Supporting individual goals, interests and routines

- Providing companionship and social connection

- Domestic assistance and everyday household tasks

- Following individual care and support plans

- Communicating with families, carers and the wider A1CCP team

- Supporting both disability and aged-care clients according to their individual needs

Qualifications & Requirements

Ideally, you will have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, Community Services, Mental Health or a similar qualification

- Current First Aid Certificate

- Current Working with Children Check (where required)

- NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

- Previous experience in disability, aged care or community support is highly regarded
