ZOOM Recruitment is partnering with an established Queensland construction business to secure an experienced Construction Site Supervisor for its growing Mackay operations.

This is a hands-on role for a Supervisor who thrives on variety, autonomy and keeping multiple jobs moving. Rather than being tied to one major project, you’ll oversee a portfolio of minor works across multiple sites, with projects spanning commercial construction, maintenance, refurbishments, fit-outs, remedial and reactive works.

Projects are generally valued up to $500K, giving you the opportunity to take genuine ownership of day-to-day delivery while working closely with the Project Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day supervision and coordination of multiple active projects, ensuring each job continues to move safely, efficiently and to the required standard.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing and coordinating multiple minor works projects simultaneously
- Planning daily and weekly site activities
- Supervising construction activities across multiple locations




- Coordinating trades, subcontractors, suppliers and labour
- Monitoring programmes, deadlines and project priorities
- Conducting site inspections and monitoring workmanship
- Managing WHS requirements and site safety
- Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact delivery
- Coordinating materials, plant, equipment and deliveries
- Managing defects, variations and additional works
- Maintaining site documentation, diaries and project records
- Communicating with clients and providing regular project updates
- Supporting projects through practical completion and handover

The position requires someone comfortable moving between projects, adjusting priorities and keeping multiple work fronts progressing at once.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced construction professional who knows how to take ownership, organise people and get jobs delivered.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- 8 years’ experience within commercial construction
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Leading Hand or similar
- Trade qualification – Carpentry or similar
- Experience managing multiple construction or minor works projects concurrently
- Exposure to maintenance, refurbishment, fit-out or commercial construction
- Robust knowledge of construction sequencing and site operations
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements
- Current White Card
- Current Driver’s Licence
