About the Role

@tedsthetics is looking for a Content Creator Assistant to help bring short-form comedy, YouTube videos, livestreams and social content to life.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who understands internet culture, Australian humour and what makes people stop scrolling.

You’ll work directly alongside Ted across the entire content process;

From brainstorming ideas and researching trends to filming, directing shoots, assisting with edits and getting content ready to publish.

The ideal person is creative, organised, proactive and genuinely understands platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Brainstorming TikTok, Instagram Reel and YouTube concepts
- Researching viral trends, topics, formats and conversations online
- Finding relatable Australian cultural observations and comedy ideas
- Helping develop concepts, hooks, punchlines and video structures
- Assisting during filming days
- Operating basic equipment (Phone/Mics)
- Capturing behind-the-scenes and additional social content
- Reviewing footage and identifying the strongest moments
- Helping organise and manage content files
- Assisting with basic video editing and clipping

What We’re Looking For You don’t necessarily need years of industry experience. You do need to understand content.

Ideally, you:

- Spend way too much time on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube
- Understand what makes short-form content engaging
- Have a strong sense of humour and understand Australian culture
- Can recognise trends before they become completely played out
- Are comfortable filming content on a phone or camera
- Understand basic framing, lighting and audio




- Have some editing experience with CapCut or similar software
- Are organised and reliable
- Can work independently without needing constant direction
- Aren’t afraid to suggest ideas or say, “This would make a great video”
- Are comfortable working in a rapid-moving and sometimes unpredictable creative environment

Big Bonus If You
- Have previously worked with creators, comedians or influencers
- Know how to edit fast-paced comedy content
- Understand storytelling and retention
- Follow internet/meme culture closely
- Have experience shooting street interviews, sketches or IRL content
- Have a driver’s licence and access to a car

The Kind of Person Who’ll Thrive in This Role This probably isn’t the right job for someone who wants to sit behind a desk managing a content calendar all day.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be in the middle of making things.

One day might involve brainstorming comedy ideas.

You need to be comfortable with content being spontaneous.
