Nosey Neighbour Café is looking for a reliable, hands-on Cook / Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team.

We’re building a welcoming neighbourhood café serving quality breakfast, brunch and lunch, and we’d love someone who enjoys preparing positive food and being part of a supportive team.

About the role

Working alongside our Head Chef, your duties will include:

- Preparing ingredients and helping cook breakfast and lunch dishes.
- Assisting with plating and keeping service running smoothly.
- Washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean and organised.
- Putting away deliveries, rotating stock and following food safety procedures.
- Helping wherever needed across the kitchen.

About you

Some experience in a café or commercial kitchen is preferred, particularly with food preparation and basic cooking. Just as important are reliability, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.





You’ll be comfortable pitching in with both cooking and kitchen-hand duties, taking direction and working with the team during busy periods.

Hours and working environment

We offer flexible hours and a supportive, respectful working environment, with guidance from our Head Chef. We’re happy to discuss shifts around your availability, although someone available to work at least three days per week is preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $62,000.00 per year
