Third Eye Entertainment Pty Ltd located in Banksia is looking for a qualified cook to join the team. We are a busy restaurant and function centre serving high volume of quality and fresh Nepalese and Indian food menu. We operate 2 function venues in Sydney. This is a busy position and will require applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified and experienced Cook to join our team.

To be successful in this role you must have a minimum 2 years work experience in a busy kitchen environment and also experience in relevant cuisines. Completed Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operation, quality assurance and OH&S.;

About the Role:

Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

- Create and prepare high-quality dishes with a focus on innovation and taste.
- Maintain standards for food storage
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of produce, stock control, culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
- The ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
- Complete all work responsibilities and assignments in a timely manner.
- Competently cook breakfast, lunch and dinner services and function menu.
- Supervise kitchen staffs and train new staff




- Anticipate and attend to the guest's requirements and desires immediately.
- Demonstrate superior recipe knowledge for every item on the restaurant's menus
- Ensure full implementation of HACCP code of practice
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with other members
- Maintain high standards and lead by example

About you The successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a chef in a busy restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods in relevant cuisines
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work with team, under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Culinary degree Certificate IV level or equivalent certification preferred.
