The first Pillar Two returns just went in. The ATO is circling private groups. Somewhere in Sydney, a founder is reading a letter from the ATO with a second generation coming through the business and a subsidiary offshore, and she has one question: "what do we do now?" At this firm, the person she calls is the tax manager.
n
That could be you. You'd have your own portfolio of corporate, private and listed groups and a partner who wants you in the meeting. The advice would go out with your name on it.
n
If you've built your career in Australian corporate tax, this is open to you. On a sponsored visa? Transfers are welcome. Based in Melbourne or Brisbane and wondering what life looks like on the harbour? Great - keep reading, it gets valuable.
n
We’ve partnered with a leading Top 10 firm in the Sydney CBD. Their clients are Australia's middle market: family groups, private businesses and corporates, many turning over $50 million or more. Managers here sit close to the partners and own their client relationships. Restructures, deals and international work come your way early.
n
The timing is good. Around 8,200 private groups are in the ATO’s sights, and the rules on interest deductions and cross-border structures keep shifting.
Clients want someone who can tell them what it all means in plain English, and they want that person on speed dial.
