The Opportunity n

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing team, working on-site within a secure setting in either Melbourne (Scoresby) or Canberra .

n

You’ll contribute across the full software delivery lifecycle-design, development, testing, integration and deployment-working closely with engineers, architects, BAs and customer stakeholders to deliver robust, secure, maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Design and develop innovative software solutions to complex problems
n
- Contribute to (and at times lead) Agile story definition and estimation
n
- Build and maintain unit/integration tests and contribute to test automation
n
- Support CI and automation practices
n
- Integrate and deploy systems using SecDevOps approaches
n
- Contribute to web UI development and UX evolution
n




- Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes
n
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation
n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and customer stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes
n

About You (Skills & Experience) n

Essential:

n

n
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
n
- Strong software engineering fundamentals (clean code, secure development, coding standards)
n
- Strong quality mindset with sound testing principles
n
- Confident communicator (written and verbal) with strong teamwork capability
n
- Ability to analyse problems and deliver practical, maintainable solutions
n
- Comfortable switching between tasks based on delivery priorities
n

- Full-stack exposure (React / Angular / .NET / Java)
n
- Systems integration using REST APIs, JSON, XML and integration patterns
n
- Open-source ecosystem exposure (NiFi, Kafka, Elastic/ELK, Solr)
n
- CI/CD tooling and IaC (e.g., Ansible, GitLab, Git)
n
- Containers (Docker / Kubernetes)
n
- Jira / Confluence
n
- Linux and/or Windows environments
n

Security & Eligibility (Mandatory) nn
- Australian Citizen only

- Active TSPV clearance required (must already be current)
