About the role

We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator and Truck Driver to join our team in Port Macquarie, NSW on a part-time basis. This role is pivotal to our construction operations, requiring you to safely and efficiently operate cranes and drive heavy vehicles to transport materials and equipment to project sites. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth movement of resources and maintaining the momentum of our construction projects.

You will work as part of a dynamic team, collaborating with site supervisors and fellow operators to deliver outstanding results on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

- Operating cranes safely and efficiently to lift and position materials and equipment on construction sites
- Conducting pre-operational inspections of cranes and trucks to ensure all equipment is in secure working condition
- Transporting construction materials, equipment and machinery to and from project sites using heavy vehicles
- Following all relevant safety protocols, legislation and site-specific procedures at all times




- Communicating effectively with site personnel, including spotters and supervisors, to coordinate lifting and transport operations
- Maintaining accurate records of equipment operation and vehicle maintenance
- Assisting with the securing and securing of loads to ensure safe transport
- Responding to changes in site conditions and project requirements with flexibility and professionalism

What we're looking for

- Current and valid Crane Operator certification and Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (Class HR or above)
- Demonstrated experience operating cranes in construction environments
- Proven experience as a truck driver, particularly with heavy vehicles and specialist transport
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to plant operation and heavy vehicle driving
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively on busy construction sites
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness and ability to perform duties in varying weather conditions
- A valid driver's licence and clean driving record
- Previous construction site experience is highly desirable
