About your new role n

This role will lead statutory reporting, shareholder reporting, external audit coordination and technical accounting governance for the group. Managing a team of three, you'll own the financial statements end to end, advise the business on complex transactions, and report to the Audit and Compliance Committee on significant accounting matters. A newly shaped role with genuine scope to set the standard.

Key responsibilities nn




- Lead preparation of financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries, for both financial and regulatory years
n
- Coordinate the group statutory audit, including consolidated accounts and shareholder reporting packs
n
- Oversee monthly, half-yearly and annual reporting to shareholders
n
- Provide technical accounting advice on acquisitions, disposals and new business opportunities
n
- Prepare Board and Audit Committee papers on significant accounting matters
n
- Lead the monthly balance sheet review process across the group
n
- Lead, coach and develop a team of three
n

Skills & experience nn
- CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise
n
- Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements in a listed, regulated or complex group environment
n
- Demonstrated experience managing external audit processes end to end
n
- Proven experience leading and developing a team
n
- Infrastructure, utilities or regulated industry background highly regarded
n
