We are seeking a Data and AI Platform Analyst to join our Technology team on a full-time basis. The role will take ownership of MRC's data and reporting infrastructure and help shape how data is used across the organisation.

This is a technical, data-focused role spanning Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and database administration, with a strong focus on data governance, security, performance and scalability. You'll ensure the data behind key MRC platforms and reporting is reliable, secure and well governed, while helping build the foundations for our growing use of AI and advanced analytics.

Reporting to the Head of Platforms, you will work closely with the Azure and Power Platform Engineer, the broader Technology team and business stakeholders to connect and manage data from platforms including Upbeat, Business Central, TASK POS, Ticketek and other vendor systems.

In The Saddle

- Administer Microsoft Fabric workspaces, capacity and data pipelines
- Manage Power BI administration, governance, workspaces, licensing, security and report performance
- Administer databases, including access control, backups, recovery, performance and compliance
- Design and maintain data models, database schemas and reporting structures
- Monitor data pipelines and platform performance, identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business
- Manage data governance, security,



classification, lineage and compliance, using tools such as Microsoft Purview
- Work with the Azure and Power Platform Engineer to maintain reliable data flows from key business platforms into Fabric and Power BI
- Support disaster recovery, environment management, platform upgrades and continuous improvement across the data setting

Your Track Record

- A relevant degree in Data Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3 years' hands-on database administration experience
- Strong experience administering Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or both, including workspace governance, capacity management and security
- Experience with SQL Server or similar databases, including performance tuning, backup and recovery
- Experience across data governance, quality and compliance, including access management, data security and audit requirements
- Microsoft certifications such as DP-600, DP-300, PL-300 or equivalent are highly regarded
- Experience in raceday or event-driven environments would be advantageous
