We are seeking Data Governance Officers to join our Data Management branch.

Data Governance Officers play a critical role in enabling the protected, legal, ethical, secure and responsible access and use of data and analytics in the ATO.

Data and analytics use in the ATO is wide ranging and includes but is not limited to data matching, curation, visualisation, risk modelling, data sharing, automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

APS6 Data Governance Officers are responsible for:

- supporting the development and implementation of governance policies that are consistent and compliant with legislation, regulations, government policy and organisational objectives
- supporting the development and implementation of guidelines, standards, processes and training materials to support staff to comply with policy obligations
- supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of frameworks that define how data and analytics is governed
- supporting the development and implementation of data and analytics governance assurance programs and activities that oversee, measure and report on compliance with policy,



and supporting the identification and remediation of gaps, risks and issues
- interpreting the application of policy to data and analytics use cases and providing timely, practical and actionable advice to stakeholders that balances risk and value
- partnering with stakeholders to integrate policies into organisational culture, processes and practices.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Dandenong, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Moonee Ponds, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth or Sydney CBD.
