About the role

This is a full-time role at the Central Kempsey IGA store located in Kempsey, NSW 2440. As the Deli Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager and Assistant Manager with Supervisory roles in the day-to-day operations of the business and leading the Deli team.

What you'll be doing

- Manage the Deli department, including staff rostering, ordering, inventory control, and quality assurance
- Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience for customers
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the store's strategic growth plans
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, train, and develop the Deli team, fostering a positive and productive work environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role, preferably within a supermarket or grocery environment
- Robust deli/food service expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and people management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers,



team members, and stakeholders
- Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and adapt
- Proficiency in using retail systems and technology
- RSA is essential for Flexibility during shifts
- The ability to take on Supervisor if required is essential.
