About the role

You will work closely with the dermatologist during consulting and procedural sessions and play an important role in providing high-quality patient care and maintaining efficient clinic flow. The role offers variety across medical dermatology, procedural care, patient education and general clinic operations. This is primarily a medical and procedural dermatology nursing role, with a focus on patient care, minor procedures, treatment support and clinic coordination.

Key responsibilities

- Assist the dermatologist with medical and minor surgical procedures
- Assist with biopsies and minor skin surgery
- Prepare treatment and procedure rooms
- Organise instruments and maintain appropriate infection-control and sterilisation standards
- Provide wound care and dressings
- Assist with injections and other delegated clinical treatments within scope of practice
- Support patients receiving biologic therapies, including injection education and treatment guidance
- Assist with PBS medication applications and related clinical documentation
- Perform or assist with pathology collection where appropriate
- Monitor clinical stock and ensure instruments and equipment are available and functional

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse – essential
- Previous experience in dermatology, specialist practice, skin cancer,



plastics or surgical nursing is highly regarded
- Comfortable assisting with minor procedures and wound care
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Professional, reliable, organised and attentive to detail
- Flexible, adaptable and proactive
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the dermatologist and clinic team
- Comfortable working within a small, growing specialist practice
- Interested in developing long-term dermatology nursing skills
- Valid Australian working rights
