Schneider Electric is looking for a Design Firm Consultant to join our Power Products team in Melbourne.

In this role, you’ll work closely with electrical engineering consultants and design firms, influencing projects from the early design and specification stages and positioning Schneider Electric’s electrical distribution solutions across key projects.

Combining your electrical engineering expertise, commercial mindset and industry relationships, you’ll help identify opportunities, influence specifications and support consultants in developing effective technical solutions.

What You’ll Do

- Build and execute commercial action plans across strategic Design Firms and consultant accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with electrical consultants, engineers and key industry stakeholders.
- Influence specifications and position Schneider Electric solutions during early concept and detailed design stages.
- Provide application engineering and technical design support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and develop project opportunities through consultant engagement and specification.
- Manage strategic local and global Design Firm accounts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering and Product teams to develop winning project strategies.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements.

What Will Help You Succeed

- An Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in an electrical application field.
- 5+ years’ experience working with or within the electrical engineering consultant/design firm community.

- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, power systems or related electrical applications.
- Experience influencing electrical specifications and project designs.
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication, presentation and consultative capability.
- A genuine interest in technology and innovation.
