Design Studio Manager:

Take the lead on workplace projects in a studio where great design, strong client relationships and real-world delivery all come together.

At JasonL, you'll drive briefs, stir design direction, mentor junior talent, and see your ideas through from first concept to finished space. This is a senior opportunity for an experienced workplace designer ready for greater client-facing exposure and genuine ownership of their projects. About the Role:

As Design Studio Manager, you'll create and drive the design process end to end across workplace interior projects. You'll lead client discussions, focus on what really matters in each brief, and turn those insights into compelling design packages, clear documentation and finished spaces that stay true to client needs.

You'll work directly with clients and internal teams, blending creative flair with commercial sense and a focus on delivery. For the right person in the right seat, this role offers real ownership: the chance to shape design direction, deepen client relationships and drive how JasonL design studio delivers great outcomes.

What the Role Involves?

- Lead workplace projects from initial brief and concept through to documentation and handover.
- Create design packages that respond to client objectives, workplace strategy and what the client actually wants.
- Mentor and manage in-house designers and help lift the standard of client-facing design across the studio.
- Prepare styling documents and material presentations that bring design concepts to life for clients.
- Promote and sell our design packages,



helping clients choose the right level of design service for their project.
- Present with confidence to clients and build lasting relationships that generate repeat and referral work.
- Make commercially sound, creative design solutions a natural, everyday part of the process.
- Oversee documentation to ensure the finished space reflects the design intent, budget and timeline.
- Keep studio profitability and efficiency front of mind across every project.

What We're Looking For?

- This role will suit an experienced commercial interior designer ready to split their time evenly between leading the studio and staying hands-on with design - taking full accountability for driving the team's growth while remaining close to the tools.
- 8+ years' design experience across workplace or office fit-outs in Australia Degree qualified in Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling a design studio team from the ground up is highly relevant.
- Proven budget discipline, with a track record of delivering projects within allocated hours.
- Exceptional commercial design skills and the ability to communicate a clear design narrative.
- Strong visualization skills - sketching or hand drawing, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCad Up-to-date knowledge of Australian workplace trends, emerging ways of working, and keeping solutions commercially relevant.
