This Digital Coordinator role presents an opportunity to tell the stories that will position South Bank the destination and ensure it leaves a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
South Bank Corporation has been on a journey to elevate its destination brand and optimise the opportunity to connect with its audiences.
This 12-month parental leave contract is embedded within the Marketing & Communications team, reporting to the Marketing Manager - Retail. You'll be right at the coalface of South Bank’s social media accounts, working across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, creating content that promotes the precinct’s destination offering as well as its many exciting events. You will also have primary responsibility for the precinct’s website, visitsouthbank.com.au, ensuring its content is kept up to date, its analytics are closely examined and insights gleaned and applied to ensure continuous improvement.
You will work closely with the precinct’s 62 retailers/restaurants,
and with the many other precinct partners such as hotels, cultural institutions, educational institutions and events. You will also work closely with your Marketing team colleagues on paid digital advertising strategies that drive retail sales, enhance consumer awareness and experience, and position the destination with target markets.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an integrated social media strategy
- Produce and curate all digital content such as websites, blogs, socials, emails and others as directed
- Provide detailed post campaign and post event reports and actively promote continuous improvement of our digital presence and performance
- Assist in the development and coordination of digital marketing campaigns
- Assist in the implementation of an annual retail marketing and advertising strategy for all retail precincts
- Coordinate, facilitate and manage activations and programs with internal and external stakeholders
- Maintain databases and schedules, source quotes, raise purchase orders and assist with marketing administration.
- Actively build long term relationships with precinct stakeholders and demonstrate how the Retail Marketing Plan adds value to their business
- Maintain awareness of market trends and new technologies in the retail industry, understand the forthcoming consumer and advertising initiatives and keep track of local competitors
About You
You’re a confident communicator with an eye for detail,
a flair for content and the organisational skills to keep multiple projects moving. You enjoy building relationships, sharing ideas and working in a busy, collaborative environment.
You’ll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field of study (either Marketing, Journalism, or Digital Communication) as well as a minimum of 1-2 years’ relevant experience, ideally in a related industry (tourism, retail, hospitality)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of supporting marketing strategy development, the development and implementation of integrated digital marketing and promotional campaigns and analytics
- Hands-on experience creating and coordinating content across digital and social media channels.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is desirable.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Strong project management skills
- Strong relationship management skills and confidence working with retailers, agencies and suppliers.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities, prioritise, follow up and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast paced and frequently changing environment
- High energy and highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
