We are seeking experienced Digital Forensic professionals to join our Digital Forensics team in the Cyber Operations, Program and Strategy branch.

Through this process, we are recruiting for a range of digital forensic roles, including Digital Forensics Officers and Digital Forensics Cryptocurrency Analysts.

As a (APS 5) Digital Forensics Officer, you will independently undertake complex digital forensic activities, including acquiring, preserving, analysing and reporting digital evidence to support investigative, compliance and operational outcomes. You will provide specialist advice, prepare technical reports and clearly communicate your findings, including providing expert testimony where required.

As a (APS 5) Digital Forensics Cryptocurrency Analyst, you will trace, analyse and interpret cryptocurrency transactions, blockchain activity and digital assets to support investigations, intelligence activities and operational outcomes.

Across both roles, you will exercise sound judgement, apply relevant legislative and evidentiary requirements, contribute to service and capability improvements and support the development of less experienced staff.





These roles have exposure to highly sensitive, confidential and, at times, explicit material. You will be required to attend field work at different locations across the country to assist in ATO investigations. This will require you to travel interstate, work overtime and can include overnight stay when travelling. In addition, you will be required to work outside of the ordinary hours of duty on an ad hoc basis and attend an annual mandatory counselling session.

Candidates may be placed in a Forensic Officer or Forensics Cryptocurrency Analyst role.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Brisbane CBD, Melbourne CBD or Perth CBD.
