What's involved – The primary purpose of the Director, Infrastructure and Asset Services (IAS) is to manage the Central West Hospital and Health Service infrastructure and assets by establishing and monitoring planned and reactive (unplanned) maintenance, ensuring that strategic infrastructure planning processes are in place and all aspects of capital projects are executed efficiently and effectively. In addition, the Director of IAS ensures infrastructure technical design and site services requirements and improvements are identified, managed and executed in a timely and efficient manner.

Key aspects of the role are:

- Lead and manage a dedicated team to successfully and effectively run, maintain and improve the infrastructure and assets across the Health Service in accordance with operational requirements and the strategic asset management plan.
- Ensuring high performance infrastructure management systems are in place, and that all prescribed maintenance compliance, cost savings strategies and initiatives and innovations in the design and construction of projects are identified and realised.
- Build and maintain solid relationships between all stakeholders; including capital services partners, external providers and key stakeholders across the Health Service to ensure a positive working relationship is created to deliver effective maintenance and project objectives.
