Role Description This Disability Support Worker role is an on-site position based in the Greater Melbourne Area.

The Disability Support

Worker will provide direct support to Aged Care and NDIS participants in their homes and communities, assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, and household tasks. The role includes supporting community access, social engagement, and participation in activities that align with each participant’s goals and interests.

Worker will implement individual support plans, promote safety and safeguarding, document progress and incidents accurately, and communicate effectively with participants,



families, and other professionals. The position also involves adhering to organizational policies, maintaining professional boundaries, and contributing to a positive, inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

- Experience as a Disability Support Worker or in similar support roles, with a strong commitment to person-centered care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to build trust, work collaboratively, and support diverse participants.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and safe work practices, including understanding of duty of care and incident reporting.
- Basic technical support and digital literacy skills to use care management systems, mobile devices, and documentation tools.
- Relevant qualification in Disability, Community Services, Aged Care, or a related field (or working toward completion).
- Understanding of NDIS and Aged Care frameworks and willingness to follow participant support plans and organizational procedures.
- Ability to work reliably on-site across the Greater Melbourne Area, including flexible schedule as required.
- Current police check, Working With Children Check (if required), and valid driver’s license with access to reliable transport.
