Disability Support Worker – Casual

KindSure Support is looking for reliable, respectful and caring Disability Support Workers to join our growing casual team across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs.

We provide personalised everyday disability support shaped around each person’s needs, routines, interests and goals. Our approach is team-oriented and person-centred, with a focus on supporting choice, independence and participation in everyday life.

About the role

Depending on the participant’s individual needs, your work may include:

- Supporting everyday routines and activities at home
- Assisting participants to access the community, including shopping, appointments, parks, libraries, hobbies and local activities
- Providing transport for agreed activities and outings
- Supporting everyday skills such as planning activities, making choices, organising routines and using everyday technology
- Preparing simple snacks and assisting with small everyday tasks
- Encouraging independence, choice and participation
- Building respectful and professional relationships with participants and their families
- Following agreed support arrangements and maintaining appropriate records
- Communicating promptly with KindSure Support regarding relevant participant needs, incidents or concerns

KindSure Support primarily works with children and young adults, although support opportunities may involve participants of different ages.

About you

We are looking for people who are dependable, patient and respectful, with good judgement and a genuine interest in providing personalised disability support.

Essential requirements

- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Australian working rights
- Current Victorian driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable, registered and appropriately insured vehicle
- Good communication and interpersonal skills




- Ability to follow agreed support arrangements, procedures and directions
- A professional, respectful and person-centred approach
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or ability to obtain one before commencing relevant work
- Current Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain one before commencing relevant work
- Current National Police Check, or ability to obtain one before commencing relevant work

Desirable

- Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related field
- Previous disability support, community services or other relevant experience

Location and hours Support is provided in participants’ homes and community settings across Melbourne’s eastern and south-eastern suburbs.

This is a casual position. Hours and work locations will vary according to participant needs, suitable participant-worker matching and your availability.
