Disability Support Staff

This role would suit someone who is motivated, committed and has the skills to provide structured ongoing support to our clients.

About the role

Respecting and positively supporting our client's routines and care plans in a flexible manner, which are meaningful to the client.

This includes providing

- Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Community Participation for clients with challenging needs

- Assistance with personal care

- Assist with domestic duties

- Assistance with preparation of meals

- Assist with medication administration

- Provide quality support and meet the needs of the client in line with their goals

- Ability to provide a person-centered approach that empowers the client's choice and independence

- Maintain client records and report writing

- Provide feedback to the Service Coordinators and other professionals involved in our clients care

Casual hourly rate as follows:
- $45.28 p/h between 6am - 8pm

- $49.80 p/h between 8pm - 12pm

- $63.39 p/h on Saturday

- $81.50 p/h on Sunday

- $99.61 p/h on public holidays

Successful applicants

Experience and skills in working with behavior's of concern.

Good communication skills

Reliable, responsible and able to commit to regular fortnightly hours

Staff will be required to be available for sleepovers and weekend shifts.

Applicants need to be available for shifts across a 24 hour period.

Current First Aid & CPR Certificate. Current Driver’s license.

Police Check, Disability Worker Screening and Blue Cards - applications or renewal assistance.

Ability to comply with all relevant Workplace Health & Safety legislation.

MAYBO Training would be an advantage.
