Flexible hours | SIL, In-Home & Community Support | Day, Afternoon & Sleepover Shifts

Care Agency Services is looking for reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers in Hervey Bay to join our growing team and support clients across a range of disability services. This is a great opportunity for experienced support workers who are looking for flexible work and the potential for regular hours, with shift availability ranging from occasional shifts through to up to 40 hours per week, depending on client needs and your availability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will provide support to people living with disability across:

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

In-home support

Community access and social groups

Shifts vary depending on client requirements and may include:

- 6:00am – 2:00pm
- 7:00am – 12:00pm
- 3:00pm – 8:00pm
- 8:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoon/evening shifts
- Overnight sleepover shifts

There is a particular need for workers who are comfortable with sleepover shifts, as these opportunities are more frequently available. Weekend availability may also be required from time to time.

Your duties may include:

- Providing person-centred disability support
- Supporting clients with daily living activities
- Community access and transport
- Social support and participation in activities and groups




- Meal preparation
- Medication assistance where required and appropriately trained
- Personal care where required
- Tidying and cleaning related to the client's support
- Laundry and general household tasks within SIL
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence and routines

This is not a full domestic cleaning role. Household tasks are generally completed as part of the client's support, such as tidying after meal preparation or showering, laundry and maintaining shared SIL areas.

- Willing to work across a variety of support environments

Qualifications & Checks

A Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or a similar qualification is preferred, but not essential for applicants with relevant disability support experience.

You will also need

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Australian driver's licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle

Relevant disability support experience will be highly regarded, particularly experience in SIL, in-home support or community access.
