About the role

Maleny Hotel is seeking a dedicated Duty Manager to join their team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional customer service and the efficient running of the establishment. Based in the picturesque town of Maleny, Queensland, this is an excellent prospect to contribute to the success of a thriving hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

- Supervising and coordinating the work of hotel staff, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage teams

- Resolving guest inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner

- Monitoring hotel occupancy, room availability, and revenue to optimise business performance

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

- Assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve hotel operations

- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports on hotel performance

- Collaborating with the management team to identify and implement strategies for growth and improvement

What we're looking for

- Minimum 1 years' experience in a Duty Manager or similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry

- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities





- Proficient in using hotel management software and technology

- Thorough understanding of hospitality operations, including housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage

- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays, to meet the needs of the business

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in hospitality management or a related field would be highly regarded
