About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Duty Manager to join the team at King’s Cross Hotel with an immediate start.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident leading a venue while also getting behind the bar and working as part of the team. You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the venue, leading the team during service, managing guest experiences and ensuring all operational and compliance requirements are met.

The role will include managing shifts, bar shifts, cash handling and gaming closes, so previous experience in a similar role is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the venue and oversee day-to-day operations
- Work bar shifts and support the team during busy service periods
- Lead, support and motivate the team to deliver excellent service
- Complete opening and closing procedures as required
- Complete cash-up and end-of-shift reconciliation accurately
- Carry out gaming closes and ensure all gaming operations are completed correctly
- Manage guest enquiries, complaints and service recovery professionally
- Monitor venue presentation, service standards and team performance
- Ensure RSA, RCG, WHS and venue compliance requirements are consistently followed
- Conduct team briefings and communicate operational requirements
- Support rostering, labour management and daily operational planning where required
- Work closely with the Venue Manager and wider management team
- Maintain a safe,



welcoming and well-run workplace for guests and team members

About You:

- Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or similar hospitality leadership role
- Previous experience working in a bar, pub, club or gaming venue
- Confident leading a team and taking responsibility for venue operations
- Proven experience with cash-up and end-of-shift reconciliation
- Previous experience completing gaming closes is essential
- Strong understanding of responsible service and gaming compliance
- Current NSW RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG are essential
- Confident working behind the bar as well as leading the venue
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and late-night trade
- Ideally available for an immediate start
