Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Financial Controller to join a growing medical distribution business on an initial 6-month full-time contract, with the potential for a longer-term chance.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to a senior finance professional who can take ownership, improve financial processes, strengthen controls and bring structure to a complex, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities n

n
- Review, audit and optimise existing financial processes and day-to-day finance operations.

n
- Manage financial operations across multiple entities, including inter-entity transactions and agreements.
n
- Establish, structure and streamline the accounts function for greater efficiency.

n
- Maintain accurate oversight of stock, inventory and related financial processes.
n
- Manage consignment and distribution billing and reporting.

n
- Prepare clear and accurate management reports to support business decision-making.
n
- Oversee general ledger journals, month-end processes and financial adjustments.

n
- Manage international Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including multi-currency transactions.
n
- Strengthen financial controls, systems and processes across the business.
n




- Work closely with senior decision makers to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
n

Requirements nn
- 8+ years of relevant finance experience, with senior-level experience as a Financial Controller, CFO or similar.

n
- Strong financial leadership and hands-on accounting experience.
n
- Experience within storage, logistics, distribution, inventory or supply chain environments.

n
- Proven experience managing multi-entity financial structures.
n
- Experience with international finance operations, including multi-currency reconciliations and international AR/AP.

n
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls and process improvement.
n
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

n
- Ability to work autonomously and make an immediate impact in a fast-paced environment.
n
- Experience with Xero, Shopify, CartonCloud, Stripe, Excel/Google Sheets and Monday.com or similar is highly desirable.

n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
