About Airpro Mechanical

Airpro Mechanical is a Western Australian-owned company specialising in commercial HVAC, mechanical and electrical services across the commercial, industrial, construction and resources sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a qualified Electrician, Dual Trade Electrician/Refrigeration Technician, or Electrician with a Split System Air Conditioning qualification to join our team on a casual basis.

We are also open to applications from experienced electricians who do not currently hold a split-system qualification but are willing to complete the required course.

The role will primarily involve regular FIFO work from Perth, with the potential for a hybrid Perth/FIFO roster depending on project requirements, workload and the successful candidate's experience.

The position will involve electrical and HVAC-related installation, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning works across both metropolitan and regional client sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault-finding associated with HVAC and mechanical services equipment.
- Install, connect and commission electrical components associated with air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems.
- Undertake installation, servicing and fault-finding of split-system air conditioning equipment where appropriately qualified.
- Carry out electrical isolations, testing and verification in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Diagnose electrical and HVAC equipment faults and complete required repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, technical specifications and equipment documentation.




- Assist with commissioning and testing of HVAC and mechanical services systems.
- Complete service reports, test sheets, commissioning records and other project documentation.
- Work closely with Airpro's project, service and electrical teams to complete works safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable Australian Standards, electrical and WHS requirements, client requirements and Airpro procedures.
- Participate in site inductions, pre-starts, toolbox meetings and other site safety requirements.
- Travel to regional and remote Western Australian sites as required under the applicable FIFO roster.
- Assist with Perth-based electrical and HVAC works where required.

About You

We are interested in hearing from candidates with one or more of the following backgrounds:

- Qualified Electrician with a Split System Air Conditioning qualification.
- Dual Trade Electrician and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician.
- Qualified Electrician willing to undertake the required Split System Air Conditioning course.

Experience within commercial, industrial, construction, mining or resources environments will be highly regarded.

Requirements

- Current WA Electrical Workers Licence.
- Relevant electrical trade qualification.
- Split System Air Conditioning qualification/licence or willingness to obtain.
- Current Manual Driver's Licence.
- National Police Clearance or ability to obtain.
- Ability to obtain and maintain client and site-specific inductions and clearances.




- Robust electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Willingness and ability to work FIFO from Perth, with flexibility to undertake Perth-based work where required.

Highly Regarded

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Current Refrigerant Handling Licence.
- Previous FIFO, mining or resources experience.
- Working at Heights.
- EWP.
- First Aid/CPR.
- High Risk Work Licence.
- Experience with commercial HVAC equipment, controls and mechanical services electrical systems.
