The Opportunity

We're seeking an Electronics Engineering Student Intern to join our Design & Engineering team over the summer university break.

This is a paid, full-time internship designed for students who want real-world engineering experience beyond theory and lab exercises. Over approximately three months, you'll work alongside experienced Electronics, Software, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle.

Rather than being assigned a single task, you'll contribute to a variety of projects and experience how design decisions translate into manufactured products on a production floor.

You'll have the prospect to:

- Assist with electronic design, testing and validation activities

- Support prototype builds and product development projects

- Conduct investigations, experiments and technical evaluations

- Assist with PCB bring-up, debugging and verification activities

- Participate in product testing and fault-finding

- Work closely with production teams to understand design-for-manufacture principles

- Help document engineering activities and test results

- Contribute ideas and solutions as part of a collaborative engineering team

- Gain exposure to medical, industrial, mining and defence-related products

What We're Looking For





We're interested in motivated students who are keen to learn and enjoy solving technical challenges.

Ideally, you'll be:

- Currently studying Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- In your third or fourth year of study

- Curious, hands-on and eager to learn

- Able to work effectively within a team environment

- Comfortable communicating technical information clearly

- Naturally organised with strong attention to detail

- Passionate about technology and product development

Bonus points if you have experience with:

- PCB design and schematic capture

- Embedded systems or microcontrollers

- Electronics troubleshooting and debugging

- Soldering and prototype assembly

- Programming in C/C , Python or similar languages

- Personal engineering projects, student teams, competitions or hobby electronics
