Established, national market leading Tier 2 Contractor Extensive project pipeline in SMP structural, mechanical, piping, welding projects Excellent project pipeline and progression opportunities Great opportunity working on projects across SMP (Structural, Mechanical & Piping) and processing facilities projects. Initial project up to $5m.

This project is located near Maitland NSW and will be 5 days per week on site 9hrs a day. Candidates can live locally or commute daily from Newcastle or surrounding areas.

n

Candidates can be a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer at a Tier 1 looking for a Project Manager role or a Project Manager at a tier 2 construction firm. Years of experience: 5 to 10 years +.

Responsibilities n

n
- Assemble scope of works and request for tender documentation
n
- Conduct site visits (remote and interstate sites)
n
- Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviews
n
- Provide detailed tender handover documentation
n
- Create pricing models
n
- Design comprehensive project programmes and communicate to team
n
- Project delivery from inception through to completion
n
- Ensure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programme
n
- Identify and manage construction risk through all projects, escalating issues when required
n




- Manage project expenditure and cash flow
n
- Management and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projects
n
- Design management
n
- Manage subcontractors on site
n
- Manage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the project
n
- Produce progress reports
n
- Deliver and manage client expectations
n

Qualifications and Requirements nn
- Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similar
n
- Minimum 5 years+ experience in a similar role
n
- Understanding of Risk Management
n
- A strong commercial acumen
n
- Ability to work part of a team as well as autonomously
n
- High level of organisation and time management skills
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
n
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite & MS Project
n
- Knowledge of planning software
n
- Construction Safety Induction (white/blue) card
n
- Driver Licence
n
- Ability to obtain a clear Police Check
n
