What You'll Do

As an Environmental Adviser, you'll play a key role in supporting environmental performance and compliance across Santos' Midstream & Energy Solutions operations. You will:

- Provide expert environmental advice to operational and project teams.
- Lead and support environmental audits, inspections, assurance activities, and compliance reporting.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with approvals, permits, licences, and regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain environmental management plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Participate in environmental risk assessments and Management of Change processes.
- Partner with regulators, contractors, and internal stakeholders to achieve strong environmental outcomes.
- Drive a positive safety and environmental culture while supporting operational excellence.

What You'll Bring To succeed in this role,



you'll bring a strong environmental compliance background and a passion for supporting safe, sustainable operations. You will have:

- A tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in environmental management and compliance within oil and gas, major hazard facilities, or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Territory environmental legislation.
- Experience working with environmental approvals, management systems, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build effective relationships.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience working in an offshore regulatory setting is highly desired
- Auditing experience and Lead Auditor qualifications will be highly regarded.

Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
