McConnell Dowell is building its team for a major transport infrastructure initiative that will improve one of Perth's busiest road corridors and support the future growth of Western Australia. Delivered through an Alliance model, this is a rare opportunity to join a project from an early stage and play a key leadership role throughout the delivery lifecycle. With a substantial construction program ahead, this role offers the stability, longevity and challenge that experienced environmental professionals seek.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead all environmental and sustainability functions across the project, ensuring compliance, driving continual improvement and embedding sustainable outcomes across planning and delivery activities.

What you'll be doing

- Lead environmental and sustainability strategy, compliance and performance across the project.




- Drive implementation of Environmental and Sustainability Management Plans.
- Champion ISCA outcomes and sustainability initiatives.
- Provide expert advice to project leadership and operational teams.
- Lead environmental approvals, audits, investigations and reporting.
- Manage key stakeholders while mentoring Environmental & Sustainability Advisors.

What we're looking for

- Extensive environmental management experience within major civil infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, compliance and risk management.
- Experience delivering sustainability initiatives and reporting frameworks on large projects.
- ISAP accredited with practical ISCA implementation experience.
- Proven ability to influence project teams and drive environmental outcomes.
- Relevant tertiary qualification with strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
