The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Event Manager to lead our team at Costco Ipswich on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll coach and develop a team of Sales Advisors, deliver engaging product demonstrations, drive sales results, and ensure exceptional member experiences every day.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Sales Advisors (Product Demonstrators)
- Ensure engaging and successful product demonstration events are delivered to a high standard
- Train, coach and mentor team members to maximise performance and engagement
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Sanitation and Workplace Health & Safety requirements
- Manage recruitment,



onboarding and training of new team members
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives
- Build strong relationships with Costco management, vendors and key stakeholders
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents in line with company procedures
- Drive sales performance and exceptional member service outcomes
- Support new store openings and travel when required

About You

- Proven leadership experience in retail, hospitality, events or a similar customer-focused environment
- Strong people management, coaching and team development skills
- Exceptional customer service and sales experience
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online systems
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a passion for leading people
