THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an established and passionate leader to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of Bimbadgen’s Palmers Lane function space. In this key role, you will lead our Weddings & Events team and drive operational excellence to deliver seamless, memorable guest experiences.

Responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to;

- Lead the Palmers Lane Weddings & Events team across operational and administrative functions.
- Deliver revenue, expense and profit targets through effective P&L;, workforce, purchasing, inventory and package management.
- Implement sales and marketing initiatives to grow the venue across corporate, retreat and social markets.
- Enhance the venue offering to maximise value, profitability and guest experience while reflecting market trends.
- Build strong customer relationships to maximise satisfaction, loyalty and repeat business.
- Coach and develop the team to strengthen engagement, performance and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS, liquor licensing, consumer law and employment requirements.
- Implement site-specific health, safety and environmental controls to eliminate or minimise risk.

YOUR BACKGROUND




- Proven experience leading weddings and events.
- Passion for the Hunter Valley and positioning Bimbadgen as a leading special-events destination.
- Strong leadership skills and a passion for developing successful teams.
- Strong financial acumen, P&L; accountability and annual budgeting experience.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to plan for and communicate strategic priorities.
- A cooperative and inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives and builds trust.
