Excavator Operator – Residential High-Rise Construction

Panettiere Builders is seeking experienced Excavator Operators to join our construction team on a major residential high-rise project in Newstead.

We are looking for reliable, safety-focused operators who take pride in their work and can confidently operate excavators in a busy construction environment.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with an established construction and development business working on a significant residential project.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Operating excavators safely and efficiently on a major residential high-rise construction site

- Excavation, trenching, bulk earthworks and general site works

- Loading, levelling and material handling as required

- Working around other plant, trades and site personnel

- Carrying out daily plant checks and reporting any mechanical or safety issues

- Following site safety procedures, SWMS and directions from site management

- Maintaining a clean, safe and productive work setting

- Assisting with general site duties when required

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience operating excavators in a commercial construction environment





- Experience on residential/high-rise construction projects highly regarded

- Relevant plant competency/tickets and licences

- White Card

- Demonstrated understanding of construction site safety requirements

- Ability to safely operate plant around workers, structures and other machinery

- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a site team
- A professional and safety-conscious approach to your work

Additional plant tickets or experience operating other machinery will be highly regarded.
