About the role

Our Logistics Company is seeking an Experienced Brick Truck Driver (HC/MC) to join our growing transport team in Melbourne, VIC. This is a full time position that plays a vital role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of bulk materials across Victoria and surrounding regions. As a brick truck driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy combination vehicles whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service.

This role is essential to our business success and offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team in the road transport industry.

Key responsibilities

- Operate Heavy Combination (HC) and/or Multi Combination (MC) vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
- Transport bulk materials, including bricks and related construction supplies, to customers across designated routes
- Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and records in accordance with legal requirements
- Load, unload or supervise the loading and unloading of materials whilst ensuring cargo is properly secured and balanced
- Communicate professionally with customers, warehouse staff and management regarding deliveries and any issues encountered
- Adhere to strict deadlines whilst prioritising safety over speed
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical faults or damage promptly
- Comply with fatigue management regulations and work hour limitations
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture that prioritises health and safety





What we're looking for

- Current Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driving licence valid in Victoria
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience driving heavy vehicles in a commercial transport setting
- Proven experience in bulk material or construction supply transport (brick, sand, aggregates or similar)
- Completion of Defensive Driving or equivalent approved heavy vehicle driver training
- Valid Police Check and Working with Children Check (if applicable)
- Strong knowledge of Victorian and National road regulations, including Mass Dimension and Load (MD&L;) regulations
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Professional communication and customer service abilities
- A commitment to safe driving practices and zero tolerance for unsafe behaviour
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks associated with loading and unloading
- Reliability and punctuality as standard
