Nursery Hand – Alstonville

Prestige Plants Australia is one of Australia’s leading suppliers of plants and trees to landscapers, retail nurseries and government projects.

We are looking for reliable, energetic Nursery Hands to join our production nursery in Alstonville.

If you enjoy working outdoors, like practical hands-on work and take pride in getting things done properly, this could be a great fit.

Our Alstonville nursery is primarily focused on growing small pots and trees, with work including potting, pruning, plant maintenance and preparing stock for customer orders and interstate dispatch.

What you'll be doing

- Picking and preparing plant orders

- Potting up plants and trees

- Pruning and maintaining stock

- Staking and tying trees

- Weeding and general nursery maintenance

- Watering and fertilising

- Assisting with pest and disease control

- Loading, moving and organising plants around the nursery

- Helping prepare stock for weekly dispatch

This is a physical outdoor role, so you will need to be comfortable working outside in all weather and regularly handling plants and nursery stock.

Who we're looking for

Nursery, horticulture,



landscaping or agriculture experience is highly regarded, but it isn't essential.

We are also interested in good people from farming, landscaping, construction, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or other hands-on industries.

More important is that you are:

- Reliable and ready to work

- Physically fit and comfortable outdoors

- Positive and willing to learn

- Able to work well as part of a team

- Proud of doing a job properly

- Looking for stable work and an opportunity to grow

You will also need reliable transport to get to and from our Alstonville nursery.
