About the Role

Metal Master is an architectural sheet metal manufacturer based in Smithfield, specialising in custom metal roofing, architectural facade panels, premium rainwater goods, and bespoke flashings.

We are looking for an experienced, trade-qualified or highly competent Sheet Metal Worker to join our factory floor. You will be responsible for operating press brakes, folding flashings, assembling custom rainwater products, and ensuring high quality workmanship across a wide range of materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Rainwater Goods Fabrication: Fabricate, solder/rivet, and assemble custom rainwater heads, sumps, droppers, downpipes, and curved or tapered flashings.

- Material Handling & Finishes: Work with precision across Colorbond, Zincalume, aluminium, copper, and zinc, maintaining flawless surface quality on exposed architectural faces.

- Press Brake Operation & Folding: Set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes to fold various extrusions.

- Quality Assurance: Check bend angles, dimensions, and squareness against job sheets before dispatch.

What We Are Looking For

- Hands-on Experience:



Proven track record in a sheet metal workshop.

- Machine Competency: Experience setting up and operating CNC press brakes, guillotines, and folders.

- Rainwater Goods Expertise: Fabricating custom box gutters, flashings, and architectural rainwater accessories (soldering experience on copper/zinc is a major plus).

- Attention to Detail: Pride in workmanship, ensuring crisp line work, proper bend allowances, and no surface damage on pre-finished materials.

- Reliability: Self-motivated, punctual, and able to work independently as well as alongside our drafting and laser cutting teams.
