Microsoft Technical Lead – Pre-Sales & Solutions n

You'll take a leading role across technical pre-sales, solution architecture and customer consulting for Microsoft cloud and infrastructure opportunities. You'll work closely with customers and commercial teams to uncover requirements, shape solutions and turn complex Microsoft technology challenges into commercially viable projects. You'll retain involvement through delivery, ensuring the solutions you've helped shape translate into successful customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Lead technical pre-sales conversations across Microsoft cloud and infrastructure opportunities

n
n

Run customer discovery sessions and technical workshops

n
n

Understand business drivers, technical environments, pain points and future-state requirements

n
n

Design solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity and hybrid infrastructure

n
n

Translate customer requirements into technically sound and commercially viable solutions

n
n

Produce solution designs, scopes, Statements of Work and technical proposals

n
n

Estimate delivery effort and contribute to commercial solution development

n
n

Present proposed architectures and technical recommendations to customers

n
n

Work alongside sales and account teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle

n
n





Provide guidance and design assurance to consultants and engineers delivering the solution

n
n

About you

n
n

Proven Microsoft pre-sales experience operating between customers, sales teams, architects and technical delivery teams

n
n

Experience in Microsoft technical pre-sales or solution consulting

n
n

Experience running customer discovery and requirements workshops

n
n

Experience in solution architecture and high-level design

n
n

Experience producing technical proposals and Statements of Work

n
n

Experience with project scoping and effort estimation

n
n

Ability to present and defend technical solutions

n
n

Strong experience across the broader Microsoft ecosystem including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Active Directory, hybrid identity, Azure networking and connectivity, Windows Server and hybrid infrastructure, Azure security and governance, cloud migration and modernisation, Microsoft security technologies, PowerShell and automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform or Bicep

Experience designing cloud foundations and enterprise Azure environments

n
n

Robust communication skills to engage senior customer stakeholders while maintaining technical depth
