Warakirri College is an Independent Special Assistance secondary school supporting young people in Year 10 through to the Higher School Certificate (HSC). We are seeking a practical, hands-on and highly organised Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance, presentation, safety and operation of all our campuses (Blacktown, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Redfern, Picton and Cabramatta (2027)).

Permanent - Full Time (48 weeks 4 weeks annual leave) - multi-Campus Role

About the Role

Reporting to the Business Manager, you will:

- Manage facilities, maintenance and grounds across multiple campuses

- Carry out general maintenance and handyman tasks within your skills and licensing

- Coordinate and manage contractors and essential services

- Maintain contractor registers, compliance records, asset registers and preventative maintenance schedules

- Support all campuses with maintenance audits and help them develop a safety culture

- Be a member of the College’s WHS Committee

- Lead small to medium facilities and refurbishment projects

- Support WHS compliance, inspections and hazard management

- Respond to maintenance requests and operational issues across sites

- Travel regularly between campuses and provide after-hours emergency support when required.

About You

You will have

- Experience in facilities, property, maintenance or asset management (within a school environment is highly desirable)

- Strong practical maintenance (handy man) and problem-solving skills

- Experience managing contractors and coordinating projects

- Knowledge of WHS requirements and compliance obligations





- Working knowledge of safety systems and facilities help desk software

- Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

- Current Driver Licence

- Facilities Management, Property Management, Building Services or related qualifications (desirable)

- Project management experience (desirable)

- Relevant trade or building services experience (desirable)
