We are looking for a Manager Climate Action Strategy to lead the implementation of Bank Australia's climate action strategy and climate-related transition plan.

You'll work closely with teams across the business to identify opportunities, manage climate-related risks and help deliver on our commitment to achieving our 2035 emissions reduction targets.

Acting as a trusted subject matter expert, you'll collaborate with senior stakeholders, contribute to climate-related advocacy and oversee climate reporting and disclosures aligned with regulatory requirements.

This opportunity is a 13-month fixed term and can be based out of our Head Office in Collingwood or Sydney.

What you will be doing

- Lead the implementation of Bank Australia’s climate action strategy, including partnering across Product, Lending, Risk, Finance, Data, Marketing and Strategy teams to embed climate priorities, identify opportunities and manage climate-related risks.
- Act as the bank’s climate subject matter expert, providing guidance on sustainable finance, green homes, emissions reduction and climate transition initiatives.
- Drive governance and stakeholder engagement activities, including supporting climate-focused committees, preparing Executive and Board reporting, and managing external partners and consultants.
- Lead the development of climate-related disclosures and reporting, ensuring compliance with AASB S2 requirements and alignment with industry best practice.
- Build climate knowledge and capability across the organisation while contributing to the bank’s climate advocacy, communications and thought leadership activities

What you will bring

- Extensive experience in climate change, sustainability and strategy,



with a strong understanding of emissions reduction pathways and climate transition planning.
- Proven ability to lead complex programs of work and influence outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups in a collaborative environment.
- Strong expertise in climate-related reporting and disclosures, with knowledge of AASB S2 and emerging sustainability standards.
- A passion for creating positive environmental impact, combined with strategic thinking, sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach to complex challenges.
- Commitment to Bank Australia’s purpose, aspiration, values and brand as well as the B Corp ethos.
