Accounts Officer

Springwood | Full-time | $80,000 + Super

Are you an experienced Accounts Officer looking for a role where you can broaden your finance experience and grow alongside an expanding, purpose-driven organisation?

We are seeking a capable and motivated Accounts Officer to join a supportive team based in Springwood. This is a hands‑on role covering AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll support and financial reporting, with some general office administration.

This opportunity would suit someone with solid transactional accounting experience who is ready to take the next step, build their broader finance knowledge and develop their career over the longer term.

The Role

- Completing bank reconciliations across multiple accounts in Xero
- Managing Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and fortnightly payment batches
- Managing Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and debtor follow‑up
- Assisting with fortnightly payroll, including timesheets, reimbursements and reporting
- Tracking client budgets, invoicing and associated reconciliations
- Preparing financial reports as required
- Maintaining accurate financial records and data
- Supporting the wider finance function with additional accounting activities
- Assisting with general office administration, reception and record management as required

About You

We are looking for someone who sits in that mid‑level Accounts/Finance space — already confident with the fundamentals but motivated to continue developing their accounting and finance capability.

You will ideally bring:





- 3+ years' experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar position
- Strong hands‑on Xero experience – essential
- Demonstrated experience across AP, AR and bank reconciliations
- Exposure to payroll processing/support
- An Accounting or Bookkeeping qualification
- Strong Excel skills and confidence learning new systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable and accountable working style
- A genuine interest in learning, development and longer‑term career progression

Previous accounts experience within the NDIS/disability sector would be highly regarded, particularly knowledge of NDIS billing and client funding. Experience within health, community services or another purpose‑driven environment would also be advantageous.
